OFFICIAL: Barcelona announce second signing of the summer

FC Barcelona have announced the signing of Samuel Umtiti from Lyon on a 5-year deal
FC Barcelona have officially announced the signing of French 22-year old defender Samuel Umtiti from Olympique Lyon on a 5-year contract with the player set to undergo medical and public presentation on Friday.
Lots of speculations suggested Barcelona and Samuel Umtiti already agreed a deal for a transfer of the player to the Catalan club, and it was later confirmed by some club officials though nothing was made official in other to make the player concentrate in the Euro 2016 championship.
FC Barcelona officially announced on their official website that Samuel Umtiti is their second signing of the summer after the arrival of Denis Suarez from Villarreal.
Samuel Umtiti signs for Barça from Olympique Lyonnais for €25 million on a 5-year deal with a release clause of €60 million. The player will arrive in Barcelona on Thursday for the final phase of the transfer. He will have a photo session outside the office of the club on that day before undergoing medical and signing his contract officially on Friday, July 15 before having a press conference.
Samuel Umtiti represented France in the just-concluded Euro 2016 championship where he featured in three games including the final. He is a good passer of the ball with fantastic concentration in defence. His versatility is also a boost as he can also play at left back.
