FC Barcelona sign Lucas Digne from PSG on a 5-year deal

FC Barcelona have officially announced the signing of defender Lucas Digne from Paris-Saint Germain with the youngster set to undergo medical and official presentation on Thursday (tomorrow).
Yesterday, BarcaLens reported that the deal to sign Lucas Digne is 99% done with official confirmation left via MD and TV3, FC Barcelona have however made it official with a statement on their official website that the 22-year old left-back has signed for the club.
Lucas Digne has signed for FC Barcelona on a 5-year contract that will see him tied at the Camp Nou until the summer of 2021. Barça paid €16.5 million for his signature with the fee likely to increase by €4 million according to his performances and team results. His release clause has been set to €60 million.
Digne signed for PSG in 2013 from Lille but made a loan move to Italian team AS Roma last summer and played the entire 2015/2016 season there as a regular. He has played a total 148 games for the three clubs, scoring 8 times and providing 13 assists.
Following the acquisition of Denis Suarez from Villarreal and Samuel Umtiti from Lyon, Lucas Digne is now Barcelona’s third signing of the summer as they look to improve their squad for the upcoming season. The interesting thing is that all three signings are 22-years old which means the club are preparing for the future with Luciano Vietto likely to be the fourth 22-year old to join.
Lucas Digne will arrive at Barcelona tomorrow (Thursday) to undergo his medical, presentation and official press conference.
