The Nigeria football family was on Saturday morning hit with another tragedy following the news of the death of former four-time Super Eagles coach.
Amodu, who until his death was the Technical Director of the Nigeria Football Federation, reportedly being owed seven months salary.
This fact was revealed by former Super Eagles goalkeeper and Media officer, Peterside Idah while paying his tribute to the late gaffer on his official twitter account.
“My coach, my mentor ,my friend,my boss is dead #RIPAmoduShuaibu,” He said.
“NFF please pay the ones that are ALIVE got a call from him that he has not been paid for about 7 months.”
“Amodu shuaibu elegant dresser and the most generous man I know on earth.death, death, death please leave us ALONE.” Idah tweeted.
His equally shocking death is coming barely three days of the death of his former assistant Late Stephen Keshi who died on Wednesday at 54.
The late Amodu reportedly complained of chest pain before going to bed on Friday just hours after signing the register set up in honour of Stephen Keshi.
He then went to bed, but passed on in his sleep.
