Former Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo has been appointed senior special assistant on sports development to Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state.
Yobo recently played in his testimonial and centenary game in Port-Harcourt which was attended by Wike, Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah and former Everton coach David Moyes.
Wike also appointed Mr. Chibuzor Aholu as the Senior Special Assistant on Financial Matters.
The governor’s Special Assistant on electronic media, Simeon Nwakaudu issued a statement on Tuesday in Port Harcourt saying the appointments take immediate effect.
Yobo played in 101 games for the Super Eagles in a glittering career.
