Ighalo snubbed at Watford end-of-season awards

Odion Ighalo failed to win any awards during Watford’s end of the season awards night.

Ighalo who was the Hornets highest goal scorer in the Premier League season but that was not enought to win the Player of the Season and Player’s Player of the season with goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes getting the honours.

Guedioura’s goal against Arsenal in the English FA Cup beat Odion Ighalo’s strike versus Everton to win the Watford 2015/16 Goal of the Season.

The strike placed third behind Guedioura and Almen Adbi’s goal against Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium.

The 26 year old had five of his goals for the Hornets among the 10 shortlisted on the official website, alongside Troy Deeney effort, before being included in the final Twitter poll and subsequently being voted the winner.
