#NPFL: Unbeaten Abia Warriors, stingy Enugu Rangers and all the latest stats and facts

The stats are as exciting as ever as Nigeria Professional Football League new boys, MFM FC are top of the table, after a 3-1 win over El-Kanemi Warriors at the Agege Stadium in Lagos, on match day six.

#1     One player to watch out for his EnyimbaFC‘s Mfon Udoh. The striker who holds the record for most goals (23) by a player in a #NPFL season, has netted 43 league goals since the start of 2012/13 #NPFL season, three more than any other player in the period.
#2 After six rounds of matches, Abia Warriors remains the only unbeaten team this term, as they enjoy their longest run ever in #NPFL without defeat. However, the Umuahia-based side have only won two of their games leaving them sixth on the log with 10 points.
#3 Enugu Rangers are now unbeaten in five consecutive matches, their longest in the #NPFL since 2014 when they went 6 matches undefeated. The Enugu side boasts the league’s joint best attack and also the division’s joint meanest defense.
#4 It took FC IfeanyiUbah 4 games to score seven goals at home last season, they have now equaled that in their first 2 games this term. Prolific
#5 El-Kanemi Warriors have now lost all of their nine away matches against newly promoted sides since start of 2013/14.
#6     Niger Tornadoes‘ Gata Ismail scored the 100th goal of the 2015/16 #NPFL season in the 45+2 minute of their tie against Rivers United.
#7 Julius Emiloju is MFM FC of Lagos‘ sixth goalscorer this season, only Enugu Rangers (7) have more goalscorers.
#8 With 2 goals from dead ball situations, no player has now scored more direct freekick goals than Niger TornadoesGata Ismail this season.
#9 Abia Warriors have never defeated Enugu Rangers in the #NPFL, failing in four previous attempts, suffering two losses and managing two draws.
#10 Lobi Stars have suffered 10 defeats against Kano Pillars since 2003, against no side have they lost more #NPFL games in the period.
