Nigeria international Alex Iwobi trained with Arsenal’s first team on Friday afternoon ahead of the Premier League tie with Odion Ighalo’s Watford at Vicarage Road on Saturday.
The Hale End Academy product is yet to play a competitive game for club and country, bearing in mind that the two games he featured in for the Super Eagles were friendlies and do not count.
Should Iwobi be included in the 18 – man squad by the Frenchman, it would be the first time in his career that he will be part of the first team squad in the Premier League.
The 19 – year – old racked up 44 minutes of playing time for the Super Eagles during the international break.
