Liverpool to announce Awoniyi’s signing today

Nigerian youngster, Taiwo Awoniyi is to be unveiled today at Liverpool, as Anfield chiefs have agreed an £800,000 fee that could rise to £3m with Imperial Academy for the 18-year-old striker, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Redshave seen off competition from a host of European rivals including Monaco and Porto.
He has represented Nigeria at youth level and has already received his first senior call-up.
Awoniyi is also involved in the country’s Olympic set-up and a spokesman last week confirmed he was heading to Merseysideto sign for the club.
He is currently unable to secure a work permit so a loan move beckons with Belgium, Germany and Holland mooted as potential destinations.
Liverpool have been busy strengthening their academy ranks this summer with Barcelona winger Bobby Adekanye and American wonderkid Brooks Lennon joining.
