Adriano’s move away from Barca looks inevitable as the full-back’s agent confirmed the player is likely to join Italian team AS Roma.
“It’s a really tempting offer and he thinks it is the right time for a change,” Paulo Affonso Neves, Adriano’s agent said.
“Now is the best time to take on new challenges and to take full advantage of being able to play for a big Italian team, which is Roma.”
Paulo Affonso Neves added that his client still has a very good relationship with everyone at Barcelona from the Board of directors, to the coaches and the players.
“He (Adriano) has a great relationship with everyone [at Barca] and they have behaved very well with us,” he said.
“As professionals, the situation has been managed with intelligence and patience to reach this stage of the transfer.”
This information arrives a day after Barca’s right-back Douglas Pereira posted a message to Adriano on Instagram in what looked like a farewell message.
“You are a beast, brother. People like you deserve a world of love, peace and happiness,” Douglas wrote.
“I hope that you continue to be this wonderful person, full of good qualities and with a contagious charisma.”
“May you and your family be able to achieve all your dreams and be happy, not just today, but in all moments of life. May you have a lot of peace and may God continue to enlighten you.”
Adriano is one of Barcelona’s most important players due to his incredible versatility and he is naturally ambidextrous, Barcelona will surely miss him.
