Super eagles of Nigeria lost 1-0 at Abu Dhabi to Cote d’Ivoire in a friendly game last Sunday, however home-based Super Eagles right-back Solomon Kwambe has blamed the loss on lack of concentration towards the end of the match.
A late strike by Salomon Kalou off an assist from Cheick Tiote, gave the Elephants a 1-0 win, after capitalising on a mistake from Kano Pillars midfielder Rabiu Ali.
Speaking to AfricanFootball.com, he mentioned that the team played according to plans but lost because of a little bit loss of concentration.
“It was a good and tough game for us, though we lost,” said Kwambe.
“We did not deserve to lose the game because we played well according to instruction, but just a little bit of loss of concentration cost us the game.”
Speaking further he assured Nigerians of a better performance against Sudan.
“We have one more game here, that is against Sudan. We will give our best and do better than we did against Cote d’Ivoire and go for victory,” he promised.
