Bad News For The Gunners As Mesut Ozil Is Ruled Out For Another 7 weeks

Oh my! Arsenal and Germany star Mesut Ozil will be sidelined for another 7 weeks after it was revealed that his knee injury is worse than first feared.

Ozil was thought and supposed to be nearing a highly anticipated return to the first team after suffering a knee injury in the Gunners defeat to Chelsea in October.
However, according to the Metro, the German midfielder is set to be out of action for another seven weeks meaning that he will be unavailable to the first team until after the new year. Whoops!
“I have already been out for five weeks and will be out for another seven weeks,” said Ozil.
“That is a really long time but that is the way it is in football sometimes. My head is held high and we look forward.”
The news will come as further bad news to the Gunners who are already down the bare bones, especially in defence where the side only have four first-team players available with even the Per Matersacker slacking in recent games.
Arsenal sit 6th in the Premier League table having only taken 17 points from their opening 11 fixtures and entertain Louis van Gaal’s Manchester United on November 22 before they travel to German outfit Borussia Dortmund in a Champions League tie which will prove huge significance for their pursuit to top the group in order to get an ‘easier’ draw in the knockout stages of the competition.
