Colombia and Liverpool left winger, Luis Diaz, has been spotted vibing to a song by a Nigerian Afrobeats superstar, Damini Ogulu, known as Burna Boy, in a gym session, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 27-year-old recently just returned from an extended holiday due to his Copa America outing with his national team. The former Porto man scored two goals as Los Cafeteros lost the final to Lionel Messi’s Argentina in extra-time.
Following a three-week break, Diaz returned to the AXA Training Centre with most of his teammates on the team’s pre-season tour in the same nation that hosted the 2024 Copa America tournament.
In a gym freestyle session, the pacy winger was seen juggling the ball while listening to Burna Boys’ “23” playing in the background.

The fleet-footed winger is not the first player from the red side of Merseyside to appreciate music made by Nigerian artists.
In the past, Dutch centre-back Virgil Van Dijk has also admitted to being a big fan of listening to music to calm his nerves before a game kicks off.
The JBL ambassador has been seen jamming to Asake’s ‘Lonely at the Top’ and ‘Organize’ prior to their Carabao Cup triumph last season.

Burna Boy is one of Nigeria’s biggest musical exports. The Grammy-winning Afrobeats crooner performed at the final of the 2023 UEFA Champions League.
After the game, he was seen vibing with Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry, alongside Micah Richards and Jamie Carragher.
Liverpool kick off their 2024/2025 English Premier season on August 17 as they travel to Portman Road to welcome Shola Ameobi’s Ipswich Town.
