Nigeria 6-0 Togo: Falconets take Togo to the cleaners, score 13 goals in two WAFU B U-20 games

Nigeria’s pursuit of glory in the WAFU B U-20 Girls Cup of Nations remained unrelenting as they delivered a commanding 6-0 triumph over Togo in their second Group B clash at the illustrious Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

Right from the opening whistle, Nigeria unleashed their attacking prowess, leaving no room for doubt about their intentions.

The team’s clinical display saw Amina Bello score twice; the youngster found the back of the net in the 11th and 57th minutes.

Exciting forward Flourish Sabastine also netted a brilliant brace. The former U17 national teamer got her goals in the 12th and 76th minutes.

Esther Chinemerem and Esther Opeyemi Ajakaye were the other goal-scorers for Nigeria.

The resounding 6-0 win solidified Nigeria’s status as a formidable force in the tournament, leaving their opponents in awe of their attacking prowess and ability to convert opportunities ruthlessly.

With their sights firmly set on glory, Nigeria’s relentless pursuit continues as they strive to conquer the WAFU B U-20 Girls Cup of Nations.

It would be recalled that the Falconets crushed Niger 7-0 in their first match at the tournament.

Nigeria now boast six points and 13 goals from two games played.

The Falconets will trade tackles with high-flying Burkina Faso in their last group match this weekend. The Burkinabe girls defeated Togo on matchday one and handed Niger a 7-0 thrashing tonight to go level on points with Nigeria in Group B.
