Best Bet for the 2022 World Cup

We are less than a week away from our first World Cup match, and on Monday, November 21st, the United States will have their first match against Wales. The USA qualified for the first time since 2014, while Wales earned their first trip to the World Cup in over 60 years. Can the U.S. begin a run towards their first ever World Cup? Or can Wales pull off a major upset?

We have not seen enough out of Wales on the International stage to know if we can fully trust them. They are 0-1-4 in their last 5 international games. The United States are a young team and Gregg Berhalter will be looking to lead this team to become relevant on the big stage. The Wales will likely have their hands full with some of the talent the U.S. have in guys like Brenden Aaronson, Giovanni Reyna, Tyler Adams, Weston Mckennie and DeAndre Yedlin. This will be too much talent for Wales to overcome and the Stripes are simply just a better all around team. The United States has the youngest roster in the league as only a few players are even 30 years of age. Wales will likely have to hope for good defense and for Chris Gunter, their top defender to step up immensely.

This match will likely be close, but I do think the United States will pull this one out. As of right now the best value and bet would be to take the United States straight up as these two moneyline plays are closer than what they really should be in terms of talent. I am completely backing the United States in this spot as they are favored to come out of group play and are so close in this first match on the moneyline in terms of value.

That is the best bet I have early on to start this World Cup 2022. I recommend locking this in as soon as possible as the value could definitely change as we get closer to the 21st. The United States have the best opportunity they have had in the World Cup to potentially make a run and should no doubt come out of Group Play at the very least. Back the Stripes to win against Wales, and hopefully we’ll have ourselves a winner in one of the first World Cup games of 2022. Find the best Soccer Odds available to get the best value on your bet.
