The two African giants meet on Friday in an international friendly in Austria, but they have now agreed to another match
Nigeria’s friendly against Cameroon will be a doubleheader after the team could not find another country for the proposed second friendly game.
The Super Eagles take on the Indomitable Lions at the Weiner Neustadt Stadium in Austria on Friday, June 4, as part of preparations for the World Cup qualifying series scheduled to kick off later in the year.
But the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) was hoping to secure another friendly immediately after the clash against Cameroon. However, the football governing body could not find another country, leaving Cameroon as the only option.
The two sides will now clash two times in four days, with both games taking place in Austria. The Super Eagles have met their arch-rivals 22 times, winning 11 times and losing just four games.
Nigeria are also scheduled to play Mexico on July 4 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
