The Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has admitted that the club is awaiting the arrival of on-loan forward Victor Moses with the former Nigeria international expected to move to another club.
The former Super Eagles hero will have his loan stint at Fenerbahce terminated, and return to England despite having six months left on his initial transfer agreement.
When Moses moved to join the Fenerbahce in January 2019, the 2013 AFCON winner signed an agreement to stay with the Turkish giants until the end of the 2019-2020 season.
Things have however turned sour for the former Wigan winger following his battles with injuries which have curtailed his appearances in the Super Lig this term. The 29-year-old has only featured in six games for The Yellow-Navy Blues so far this term.
Frank Lampard has now confirmed that Moses’ spell in Turkey will be brought to an end during this January transfer window.
“On Victor Moses, he is obviously coming back from his loan with a view to go elsewhere and those talks are ongoing as well,” the Blues boss said when reacting to reports that Moses might be a subject of transfer for other clubs during a pre-match press conference held on Monday.
Inter Milan have emerged as the leading candidates to snap up the tricky winger with former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte keen to reunite with Moses. The duo combined remarkably to lift the 2017 Premier League and the FA Cup the following year.
