Anglo-Nigerian midfielder Tom Adeyemi was in action for 51 minutes and was replaced by Jordan Rolly Botaka for Leeds United while Hope Akpan lasted the distance for Blackburn Rovers with Anglo-teammate Nathan Delfouneso coming on late for Thomas Lawrence in the 84th minute as Leeds United lost 0-2 at home to visiting Blackburn Rovers.
IN HOLLAND
Kenny Otigba was in action for 90 minutes at the heart of the defence as his side SC Heerenveen defeated Helmond Sport 1-0 in KNVB Beker Cup.
IN BELGIUM
Imoh Ezekiel scored a 51minute equalizer for Anderlecht in their 1-1 draw with Kortrijk. Stefano Chuka Okaka lasted the distance (90minutes) while Imoh Ezekiel was substituted by Matias Suarez in the 80th minute of the game.
IN TURKEY
Musa Mohammed was not listed in match day squad as his side Istanbul Basaksehir drew 1-1 with Mersin FC.
Elsewhere midfielder Raheem Lawal was not listed in the match roster as Galatasaray mauled his side Eskisehirspor 4-0.
IN RUSSIA
Lukman AbdulKarim Haruna was benched for the entire duration of the game as his side Anzhi Makhachkala lost 3-1 to FC Krasnodar.
In the other match, Izunna Uzochukwu and Fegor Ogude lasted the distance for Amkar Perm while teammate Brian Idowu was replaced by Nikolay Zaytsev in the 76mnutes .Amkar’s new signing Chuma Anene was benched for the entire duration as their club Amkar Perm defeated Lokomotive Moscow 1-0.
